Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, no one should be asked to attend the Registry of Crown Titles. Also, your clients need, more than ever, to be able to close on their home purchase and mortgage safely!

Chicago Title is there for you. For either **residential or commercial title insurance policies issued by Chicago Title:

  1. Limited Searches: Chicago Title will only require CADO searches to issue either residential or commercial policies.
  2. Gap Coverage: Your clients are covered under Chicago Title insurance policies against adverse entries affecting title and registered between the date all documents relating to the transaction are duly executed and the date such documents are actually registered.  All you need to do is carry out your title searches and once executed, file the sale or mortgage for registration.  That’s it!
  3. Crown Grant: Chicago Title will cover your clients against damage sustained by reason of lack of Crown Grant, so long as you have acceptable affidavits of long possession, even if the Registry of Crown Titles cannot be searched.
